What a beautiful bride!

Ashley wanted her bouquet to be a soft pallet of blush pinks, ivory & silver. It had to be very pretty with a touch of rustic

We created her bouquet with gorgeous roses, freesias, astilbe, silver brunia & dusty miller

We added a ‘lil sparkle to her bouquet by placing diamond pins in some of the roses & a pretty broach to the handle which becomes a lovely “keepsake” after the bouquet fades

We wrapped the bouquet handle with burlap for a rustic twist & softened it with a touch of lace

Ashley & Liam had  perfect weather for their late summer wedding & a perfect venue that tied in with their rustic/garden theme ~

Bloomfield Gardens

OMGosh! How adorable! We made these two ‘lil cuties floral crowns to wear down the aisle

Pretty in Pink

Ashley & Liam provided all the watering cans & we filled them hydragea & roses for their guest table centerpieces that 1 lucky guest per table was able to take home

Tracy Nolan~ Owner/ Lead Coordinator & Senior Floral Designer

*WPIC Certified Wedding Planner *CIFD Certified Floral Designer *Gay Certified by 14 Stories Gay Wedding Institute

We started 2013 in lovely Muskoka where we had the pleasure working with a great couple, providing wedding flowers & décor for their Winter Wedding!

We then flew to Montreal to work with a Corporate client, helping design a Winter Wonderland Gala for over 400 people. It was my very first time flying Porter & I loved it!

Next was the WPIC Kick Off Event! In 2013, I was the WPIC Regional Representative for Durham Region. Myself & fellow Reg. Reps from Muskoka, Halton/Peel, Kitchener/Waterloo, Niagara & Ottawa all collaborated together & planned an amazing event for our fellow WPIC alumni

To see the event, click here A great blog post by WPIC!

Durham Region has a new WPIC Regional Representative, as we change it up every 6-12 months. It just so happens to be a wonderful friend & colleague of mine who is the Wedding coordinator at Mill Run Golf Club, Amy Stevenson

During Wedding Season, we were very busy! Creating beautiful wedding bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces & ceremony flowers for several couples. We also provided Wedding Day Management for a few of them as well

I can’t express enough the “priceless” feeling I get when I hand a bride her bouquet & she gushes!

I truly love flowers & floral design and being able to combine my passion & a business is a blessing that I never thought possible….until now

Working with couples on their Special Day & taking over the stress & management of the day so they can relax & enjoy every single, precious moment is so rewarding. Watching them smile, eat, drink, dance without a worry, is why I do what I do

I provide my clients with that peace of mind & trust that comes through in my passion

Thank you to all of our past clients who took the time to share their kind words & experience working with us! Because of that, we were just notified that FCL Weddings & Floral Designs has been awarded the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards for 2014!!!

To read our reviews from our past clients, simply scan the QR code with your smart phone or you can view them on our “Meet the Owner” page on our website

In July, we decided to open an office in the downtown Oshawa area. We share that space with 2 other great wedding vendors,

In-Style Weddings & Décor and Your Captured Moments Photography

It’s a great opportunity & convenience for couples planning their weddings, as it is a one-stop-shop! You can book a wedding planner, florist, photographer, photo booth, wedding décor, & candy buffet all under 1 roof

Clients are not obligated to book with all the vendors & we never push them to do so, but we have discovered that several clients love the idea of booking our services & having meetings on the same day, in the same location!

We are located at 70 Albert St. Oshawa~ By Appointment Only

We had an amazing year & we are looking forward to the 2014 Wedding Season! We learned a lot from all the weddings & clients we worked with in 2013. We will continue to give all our clients the BEST service we can as we continue to better ourselves & learn from past mistakes

We will continue to network with other wedding professionals, attend conferences and seminars to provide our clients with the confidence they made the right choice hiring FCL Weddings!

See you in 2014

Happy Planning!

Our next September Wedding

Victoria & Daniel~ Sept. 7, 2013~Royal Ambassador

Not only did we provide all the flowers for this lovely couple, but we also provided Wedding Day Management

The bride & groom chose the Royal Ambassador as their wedding due to the gorgeous outdoor ceremony site. The gazebo & stunning manicured gardens overlook a tree lined pond.

Unfortunately Mother Nature did not co-operate & she rained, hard all day!

Victoria called my cell phone just as she was en route to the venue, hoping I was going to tell her that it was not raining & the sun was shining……um, no

I had to be the bearer of bad news. I had to tell her, her dream wedding wasn’t going to be exactly as she dreamed, we had plan B (inside) set-up & ready to go

All 300+ guests have arrived & are seated, waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle……..then……the rain stopped!

Daniel insisted that his bride was going to have the wedding she dreamed of & myself, my assistant & the amazing RA staff sprung into action & we flipped the ceremony site. All the guests moved outside, after the staff dried off all the chairs, moved all the flowers & lanterns & the DJ moved all their equipment, all in 15 minutes!

Mother Nature kept the rest of the day/night dry from that point on & our couple was so happy as they surprised their guests with an awesome fireworks display!

Here are a few photos of Victoria & Daniel’s wedding

This was the moment the bride was told that we were going to flip the ceremony & move it outside. I think she was happy, no?

What a beautiful couple! We had the pleasure of working with Tracy & Cory, they were married August 18, 2012 & the weather man was in a fantastic mood, giving them nothing but sunshine & perfect temps!

The couple were married at their local church in Courtice & held their reception at Octaviens Banquet Hall in Oshawa.

Here is a look at their Special Day……

The bride was so excited about her red shoes!

Shades of purple was the colour theme for their wedding

Cory, looking calm & relaxed, waiting for his bride to arrive

I love this moment…..seeing her for the first time!

Making it official

Instead of the traditional limo, Tracy & Cory decided to go with this hot red ride instead!

It just so happens to match the brides shoes….Nice!

What a sweet guy….he’s carrying her shoes…atta boy Cory!

They had their photo’s taken at the gorgeous Childrens Arena in Oshawa

Group shot with the girls….stunning!

The brides bouquet had a few red dahlias to play up her red shoes & red hot rod

The seating chart for the guests

Love this picture….I think it says it all!

Tracy & Cory were such a delite to work with. We wish them all the best, a life full of love & happiness!

It was a gorgeous evening in Downtown Toronto. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the skies were blue, & 42 WPICC Wedding Coordinators & vendors came together & boarded the “Showboat” for a fun night of networking & cruising Toronto!

I am the WPIC Regional Representative for Durham Region! As the Regional Representative, it is my responsibility to organize networking events & learning seminars for WPICC alumni

Certified Wedding/ Event Planners are constantly educating themselves & networking with other wedding vendors & venues. We tour  many venues & taste their food, so we can confidently refer them to our clients. It’s a tough job, I know…..but someone has to do it

We learn all there is to know about the venue. What packages they offer,  pricing, food, etc. We can match the right venue to our clients. Saving them a lot of time & running around from venue to venue & meeting to meeting, trying to find that perfect venue they have been dreaming of

Jana, a Mariposa Representative, discussing with us, their fleet & what they can offer our wedding & corporate clients

Jana explains that Mariposa doesn’t offer wedding packages, as all weddings are custom to what the client wants. Giving couples the freedom to design their own ceremony and/or reception the way they want, & within their own budget.

Mariposa’s fleet consists of many boats & ships. They can accomedate groups from 2- 500+. Whether you’re having a small intimate wedding or a BIG fat Greek wedding, Mariposa has a boat for that.

The Super-Friendly staff at Mariposa Cruises!

The delicious food that Mariposa Cruises offers

We had a 2 hour cruise around Lake Ontario. Seeing a side of Toronto that you just don’t get to see everyday

During the cruise we had the opportunity to chat with other amazing wedding professionals, that I selected to showcase their work!
